Team Responsibilities

|

Right now I am just brain storming on individual roles and responsibilities of team members during the raid. I feel that if we go in with the certain expectations in our role we'll be more prepared for things. Please provide feedback if I am missing or need to make revisions. I'll update this post as needed.

Tanks
Main Tank: Gkitty
Secondary Tank: Grexis

Healing
Primary/Single Target Healer: Nykk
Secondary/Raid Healer: Devandra

Rez Master
Omik(Mackash)
This is a new role I'm introducing. If anyone dies during trash pulls, it will be this persons reponsibility to rez a downed player in between combat and moving to the next group.

Buffers
All classes with raid buffs
We will no longer be waiting on raid buffs. It's each of our own responsibilities to make sure our raid buffs are up at all times. If buffs run out, refresh them on the go. :)

Mob Grabber
Main: Modon
Secondary: Dratss
This is another role I'm introducing. The purpose of this role is to make sure stray mobs do not go after the healers and ranged dps. You will be grabbing those strays and bring them to the tanks who will take them off of you. This may require you to wear some tanking plate gear during trash pulls.

Loot Master
Kirathis
Nothing new with this roll, the master looter will be making sure the gear goes to where it needs to go. I don't have anything new regarding this roll just yet, but I do have some ideas that my help streamline the process of loot distribution. I'll post it here as we work it out.

Rez Master
Since we are going to be running with a Shammy I would like to suggest that this role go to the Shamy. ( I mean no offense or disrespect.. ) but the healers primary rolls are to keep up with the tank and ensure they don't Die. A DPS'er that can rez should be able to hold back a few moments and rez someone out of combat while the healer keep up with the tanks and everyone. What do you think?

I think you have a valid point Gk. My only question with that is whether or not the shammy has the mana pool to handle rezzes or if he's going to have to stop and drink after doing it. I'm not familiar enough with an enhancement shamman to answer this question.

I do know however that Devandra doesn't have mana issues at all so having her stop to rez isn't a big deal.

ok, I do not have an 80 shammy so i dont know the full list of the mana pools but at 70, I had about 6-7k AND they have shamanistic rage which pops them back up to full health rather fast. That being said. He MAY have to drop and drink. but I doubt it'll happen alot. the shammy that I had goes along time before needing to drop and drink. plus alot of the gear we've been seeing for shammies have int on them too. soo it should help out alot. We'll have to talk to mack and find out what he says. I was only trying to put in a thought.

Other roles that should probably be assigned:

Pace setter: This is the person who will be setting the pace of pulls in the instance. We definitely need one of the tanks designated to this.

I would suggest that Grexis may be the better bet for this as he can grab AoE aggro a lot faster and then Gk can taunt mobs off to kill as necessary or we AoE everything down depending on the pull. Despite what that video says, AoEing everything in the instance is not a good solution especially in the DK wing.

Strat Guru: The person who is in charge of in depth fight research and fight explanation on new fights. Also primary responsibility for watching boss timers and calling out events.

I've been doing this in the past and will volunteer to continue it unless anyone has objections.

Nykk if you need a back up for the Strat Guru, I can help out there.

I forgot about Mack's shammy. He would definitely be better at rezzing. This way our healing doesn't decline.
