Our pulls were fast, our take downs of trash mobs, and even bosses were unparalleled in our guild. Our reaction to unexpected pulls, hands down the best reaction times I have ever seen in us. Focus was triple A, and with the constant pulls, I think it really helped keep our edge. We never grew complaisant or bored waiting for the next pull or buff or waited for anyone to get back from break.
Our damage, wow what can I say, everyone I have rolled with have greatly improved their numbers. Especially Squeanet, and Geeon. Omik did a fantastic job, putting up decent number, all the while having just made 80 little over a week ago.
Even though we had a great night, much work is still ahead to complete the rest of the Nax, and getting it completely done in under 4 hours. Here are a list of things we need to work on to improve as a team.
Communication
We are a bit scatter brained as a whole. Lots of extra chatter, overlapping announcements. These things make communication degrade during a run. Lets try and keep extra chatter to a minimum, and primary alerts from key raid leaders.
Coordination
Tonight I didn't expect alot of great coordination since we are just starting the raid back up and not really used to running like this. We did a fantastic job our first time out but we can definitely improve. Our pulling speed was fast, and I'd love to see it tweaked to a sweet science. I feel after a few more weeks of working together, we will have it down and closer to that 4 hour mark.
Looting
Looting is still kind of helter skelter right now with our speed pulling. Though we did increase our speed compared to the rest of the guilds history with loot. We can still improve on this. We had an unusually high number of epic drops and it kind of slowed our momentum. Since I am still researching this, the only tip I can give on this one is this; In your free time, do some research and map out your upgrades, learn who drops them and if they are a true upgrade for you. Make note of them . This way when they do drop you will know immediately whether or not you need to roll. Having notes on standby can be used as a great reminder of whether you need the item or not.

I am in full agreement with looting. I was being a little leanient (sp?) with it last night and giving some extra time. This will not be happening in the future. For one thing, since we constantly pull, GK is often on his way to the next mob and my not being there hurts my numbers...as evidenced by my place last night on the meters.
In the future I plan on moving faster such as, once I post the item to raid chat, I will give approximately 15-20 seconds for rolls. Once that time is up, the items are going to Geeon or Squea for DE mats. Having your list ready is by far the best bet. Also, don't just make a list of your primary items, but also secondaries you might like. If nobobdy rolls for primary it's up for secondary and I'd rather someone take it for an off spec than it get DEed. Sorry enchanters.
I too am extremely happy with last nights raid. we went and exploded past the part where we normally stopped at before the hiatus. Grex is right the amount of chatter we had last night was a tad much, but I am willing to ignore it as it was helping to raise our spirits.
The boss fights, were well received and well co-ordingated, ( you let me die once!! :( ) We need to keep the 1 druid in each team on the Loatheb fight next time... but thats more of a learning thing.
I have a couple of thoughts too.
1: looting. Please dont stay around kira. when we are pulling trash, Kira is the only one that should be back there dealing with that. items can be given to anyone anywhere in the raid. all DPS'ers should be with the tanks and healers unless you are rezzing, or rebuffing/recouping from a rez.
2: Co-ordination. grex and I need to tweak that a bit from what I was seeing last night him and I can solo tank ALOT of trash mobs. that being said I would like to start what I did in Karahzan ( the last big room before NetherSpite. ) when one group is almost dead, the next tank grabs the next group. It'll take a few runs to straighten it out but I think we can manage on it fairly well.
I am totaly estatic with this group and have extremely high hopes for us.
Nick, I would also like to ask that we get our group into the Vault( if we own it for a quick 10 minute vault kill.) what do you think?
I know there was extra chatter last night, truthfully I probably needed it to keep focused,so I will not complain. Great Run !!!
Vault as a ten minute tune-up (if possible) would be an excellent idea. Looting was slower than we would like, however we got LOADS of Epics. Excellent job done by Devandra and our noobie Paladin healer. Omik will be an excellent addition as proven by his banter and play.He will quickly grow into the rez -master position.
Personally I think Vault is a complete waste of time and here's why.
1) It's absolutely impossible to schedule
2) It might be a 10 minute kill, but it's 20-30 minutes to get there and get the kill. I think this is better spent learning a new boss in Naxx.
3) It's PVP loot. Yes there are a couple pieces of PVE loot that could POSSIBLY drop (there's 85 items in the loot table), but those pieces are the same ones that you can buy for badges and badges are really easy to come by.
Once we're farming Naxx steadily we might be able to break off to go to VoA, but until then I don't think it's worth the time.
For the most part, I am in agreement with Nykk regarding Vault. However, it may also prove as an easy way for us to get our coordination down.
Yeah, Vault is just a quick run, but the gear isn't all that important really. Instead of us wondering if we can fit it in, and the way we have been speed running. It wouldn't take no time to just buy the items that drop in there with badges. If anyone needs to buy them but don't have the badges. Let us know. We'll knock out quite a few heroics in just a few hours.
Running a quick Vault run if we get towards the end of a raid night with a little bit of time left, but not enough to clear and kill the next boss wouldn't be a bad idea if we control Wintergrasp.
I would like to apologize for suggesting something as ridiculous as the vault run. it's been made adundantly clear that it's really not a good idea. And I would like to withdraw the comment.
To GK: Pbbbbbbt
I don't foresee that it will take that it will take that long to have Naxx down to one/two nights a week. So what do we do the third night?
We'll still have the Eye of Eternity to do (Malygos) and then start working on downing Sartharion with more and more drakes up.
