Just an FYI that I will be giving Champions Online a go when it releases in September. Nykk has advised he will probably be checking it out as well. No idea on how long we will be playing and I have no specifics on server, etc at this time.
The pre-order just opened for the game this week. If you decide to pre-order, Gamestop has the best bonus items in my opinion, but you can check them all out on the champions website and decide for yourself. Best part is the pre-order includes an early start and beta key. Gamestop is supposed to have the cards for it all in-store by the first week in August. Not sure if that means 8/1 or the first Monday...

Well server won't be a problem as everyone will be on the same server, but it will spawn different instances of zones kind of like AoC did. Supposedly you can switch between these instances easily however so we'll see.
My son works at Game Stop. Needless to say that is where I will buy my copy. I have already instructed him to put me in for the preorder.
Just curious what do you all know about the MMO Aion? The graphics look amazing but I know nothing about the rest of it.
Yeah the graphics for that game look beautiful. Unfortunately, I am expecting that to be the extent of it. For one thing, there are 2 factions of 1 race and that's it. Rather limited as far as the character choice right off the bat.
I have not read up a lot on it since first going to check out the site a couple months ago. From what I recall, it's bascially on the scale of an epic battle between the two factions. If I remember correctly, a lot of it is pvp-centric.
It's on my list of maybe to check out but I need something more than the amazing graphics. I am also curious what kind of a system would be needed to really experience those graphics.
