Last week was a pretty depressing week. Thursday, a rather sad set back, between Nykk's graphics card, and me botching up my spec. It really annoyed me that Reckoning was in fact the one talent that was knocking my ass into the ground. Until I'm hit capped, I won't be using it again. Friday and Saturday was more painful that I could have ever imagined. There is no point in the history of this game that I was more pissed off and upset than those two nights. I got to a point where I had to step away from the game and decide if I was going to come back to continue that raid. I don't like getting that way, and no way am I going to let a game get to me like that again.
Frazz and everyone on his run are good people. I just don't see the point of going into a raid, not prepared, not geared, and certianly not knowing how to play your toon. They, on average, spend far more time online than we do, yet most of them don't have the right gear or even know how to play their class. Most if not all of them don't even bother to do any research...period!
Anway, enough of my ranting. I mentioned a week or so ago, about more awards. Not just the Noob Award, but rewards that are good, and not degrading. I already plan to do an MVP award, but would like some feed back on what creative awards we can come up with. So please post them in the comments if you have any.

I have a great one!
The Paper Rogue Award: Goes to the raider with the highest insta-gib rate...aside from me since the award is based on people getting gibbed like I do.
oh god...here come more.
The Safety Dance is my Jam Award: For the player who survives the dance the most times out of a pre-determined amount of fights. Plus the name alone is so lame it's funny.
The We Don't Need No Stinking Tanks award: Given to all members who survive an encounter with both tanks dead.
Some other award ideas -
The Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer Blue Collar Award: Have everyone vote (via email to Grex) for three other raiders that they feel embody the best of the blue collar work ethic; i.e. they just plain get the job done, day in and day out, no muss, no fuss. Top 3 vote getters win it.
Put Me In The Cold, Cold Ground: Who has taken one for the team the most in Naxx, based on lowest survival rate. Easily computed from WoWArmory statistcs page. Take the number of times a player's been in Naxx divided by the number of deaths in Naxx. For instance, I've been in Naxx twice, and died 23 times, for an 8.6% survival rate. Most others have a lower rate, due to having run Naxx more. Can't be based on straight up deaths in Naxx, because not everyone has run the instance the same number of times. Number of times in Naxx can be guestimated by looking at easy boss kills (Anub'Rekhan, Noth, etc.)
The Swiss Army Knife: Vote similar to the Pabst Beer award, above. Which three players are just plain *useful* to have on the raid outside of their main roles? Be it a combination of trade skills, buffs, flexibility during raid encounters, non-combat utility powers, etc.
Loco-Motivation: Again, vote for three others. Who has shown the best positive attitude, encouragement, support and team spirit? It can be easy to get frustrated when things go wrong; who have been the people there to cheer you up, help you shake it off, and lift the team up even when things go bad?
Most Improved Award: Again, vote for 3 other players. Who has caught your eye as improving their raiding skills the most during Naxx over the long term? Who has really stepped it up for the team?
Arc d'Triomphe: Looking back over the course of raiding Naxx, everyone has a moment where they can say to themselves "I really kicked ass there." This is a self-voted award. If you had to list one Naxx raid moment on your own personal monument to victory, what would it be?
Record Breaker! Back when I was weightlifting, there was a system that many athletic teams use called "Bigger, Faster, Stronger". It relied on tracking a lifter's progress and motivating them to consistently break their own old lift records. Might require a bit of recordkeeping, but have each person list a personal performance goal or two for the (night's?/week's?) run. If they beat their record, they get a Record Breaker point. Examples of records could be numeric ("I will do more DPS on Boss XX than last time") or event based ("I will not let mob XX kill a teammate during YY fight"), etc. May require some subjectivity, but it never hurts to self-evaluate, set your goals, and work to achieve them.
I like em Goroxx and I can think of a few answers to those already.
